好奇怪的夢，有點時空錯亂，好像現在的我遇見以前的她，但夢中喜悅依舊，彷彿回到當年芝加哥的場景。她曾是我至今唯一的法定妻子，十五年前與我分開，我們最後一次見面是在機場，我望著她的背影走進登機口，那天下著雨... 王菲翻唱過這首歌，並出現在王家衛的"重慶森林"裡，那是我們一起看過的電影。

很難想像我竟然有過一個"妻子"。她有著神祕又敏銳的氣質，也是一名優秀演員 (但我想她並不喜歡我這樣說)... 我們在冰天雪地的芝加哥認識，我住 Wentworth，她住 Polk (她喜歡說成"波克街")，我們同樣覺得地圖上的"芝加哥"開始與我們有關。後來我們帶了一隻很大的秋田狗搬到北邊 Evanston 的西北大學校區，住進一棟有著橡木地板和白色格子木門的公寓，那是我在美國最後住的地方...

無法理解這段記憶為何如此深刻，蓋過後來返台的日子，蓋過結婚典禮，甚至我都忘了我們到底為何分開... 也許這就是愛情，如此傳奇，如此單純，如此不可理喻，如此魂牽夢縈...
