當代美學有一個重要議題是在討論"他性(otherness)"，這個"他"並非主體(我)之外的東西，而是認為"主體(我)"其實是一個在"外邊思維"下才得以存在的(無可言說的)概念，一但說出"我(這個字)"，我就消失了，只是"他"的代理者，好像從鏡子中所看到的"自己"其實是在"他"的概念下被理解的... "他"不是"誰"的問題，只是一個"空位"，好像虛主詞 it ，填補了"自我認識"的這個概念...

這首歌是美國黑人民謠歌手 Ben King 的作品，最早取材自教會的福音歌曲，有一種苦中作樂的味道。文字及旋律都很簡單，廣為流傳，目前全世界有過超過 400 種版本，包括最有名的 1975 年 John Lennon 的翻唱...今天這個組織叫做 "Play for Change"，他們不是知名樂團，由各地的街頭藝人所組成，跑遍全世界，在不同的國家"發聲"，用音樂訴求"改變"...
ICA 是 Institute of Cultural Affairs 的縮寫，中文叫做"文化事業學會"，總部設在比利時，全世界有許多"分支"，主要的工作是人力資源潛能開發、諮商顧問，並協助在地社區及社群發展。這份兼差讓我大開眼界，原來"生活"還能有如此樣貌... ICA 的成員來自全世界且到處流動，當時在台灣的夥伴包括美國人、加拿大人、日本人、印度人和菲律賓人，還有一位非常機智又可愛的台灣女孩 Jo (這是一份永遠的遺憾)...

Jim Croce 是義大利血統的美國歌手，是我大學時期常聽的曲子，也曾試著彈過幾首。他曲風飄逸又扎實，嗓音輕重自如，吉他編曲巧妙，可惜他出完這張唱片後就因飛機失事而過世，作品不太多，但都是彈吉他的經典佳作... 歌詞很美，尤其是最後一句... "等著被妳所應許的記憶"
